Peak Time (The Glory Days)

Now comes the phase when I started to play football regularly, it was 2002 and the world cup fever was all around me, I started playing with my friends and then joined a small club at ADA ground. I started playing as a goalkeeper, but I always wanted to be something other than a goalkeeper. We used to play in the evenings, one day my captain wanted me to stay in the defense, I accepted his offer very happily, because for me playing in the field was much better than just being a goalkeeper. Days passed and I kept on playing in the defense, as a center or right back. One day a guy named Ali came to the club, everybody seemed to know him well, and he started playing on the team opposite to me. He was wearing a Manchester United, Giggs jersey, when he started to play, it was a nightmare for me to keep this guy from scoring. he was the best I had ever seen, and I thought what is he doing here?  This guy was far better than all of us, the best I had ever seen. The Starting Phases

I was sleeping in day time when i received a call from Usman Mehboob, he asked me whether i want to play football from his side? I didn't think of anything except for saying yes. But I told him that my health wont allow me to play at my peak, so he shouldn't expect any brilliance from me. He said that is not a problem we are a weak team and it wont matter if you play good or bad, we just need you to play from our side. I started playing football in school, I still remember the day, I was 5 years old, all the fifty kids in my class came to the school ground and our instructor, Mr Sarwar, he divided the fifty students in two halves of twenty five each, and then he threw the ball in the center of the two sides. all the fifty kids after just one Nike ball, the scene was like a war or something that I just stood and watched.
